Saturday, October 5, 2013:          La Vida Felicidad’s 2nd Annual Dash on the Ditch 5k/10k Fun Run & Family Fundraising Event at Heritage Park in Los Lunas.

In partnership with the Village of Los Lunas Parks, Recreation and Streets Department and Mid Rio Grande Conservancy District.

Join us for a day of fun to benefit the children, adults, and seniors receiving services from La Vida Felicidad.  Walk or run in the 5k course or compete in the 10k course along the scenic ditch banks and paths in beautiful Los Lunas beginning at Heritage Park.  Run on your own or with a group!

Lots of fun things to do including a walk on the 1 mile Family course, free jumpers and face painting for the kids, food, silent auction, and music by Jam Session and the New Mexico Special Orchestra.  There will also be various other performances for your entertainment.  Bring all of your friends and family!

Packet Pickup will be from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4th at the Los Lunas Transportation Center (Rail Runner station).

Race Day Packet Pickup will be at Heritage Park at 7:30 a.m.

La Vida Felicidad’s Jog for Joy Dash on the Ditch fundraising event took place on a beautiful day on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Heritage Park in Los Lunas, New Mexico.  Thanks to the help of our partners, the Los Lunas Parks, Recreation and Street Department and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque, and our sponsors, donors, and volunteers, the event was a success!

There were 124 runners and walkers who participated in either the 10k run, 5k run/walk, or 1k Family Fun Walk.  There were performances throughout the day including:

• Opening Ceremony by La Vida Felicidad’s Child Care children and friends
• Music and Emcee Randy Gomez of Jam Session
• School of Dreams Academy Dancers
• Jeff Speakman’s 5.0 Kenpo Karate
• Daniel Fernandez Center’s Zumba
• New Mexico Special Orchestra
• Extreme Fitness Zumba, and
• Music by Noe Lara

The silent auction was also a success, we had over 100 items that were donated for the auction.
