COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY: The Community Engagement Manager will be a strategic thought-partner with La Vida Felicidad’s leadership team. The Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective outreach events and activities that promote all La Vida services in all counties served. They will be responsible for marketing, public relations, donor relations and fundraising efforts for the agency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop and/or build stronger relationships with funding sources, donors, community members.
2. Attends and participates in community and statewide meetings and conduct presentations about La Vida services.
3. Create and maintain agency Annual Report.
4. Assist with the management and oversight of agency social media platforms and assist with updating website content.
5. Identify and coordinate community outreach initiatives that promote and highlight agency services.
6. Represent agency at community events and career fairs.
7. Organize and execute profitable fundraising events for agency.
8. Plan and implement marketing strategy for agency and create/update/design agency marketing materials.
9. Responsible for cultivating relationships with donors, establishing new donors, and increasing volunteer engagement for the agency.
10. Establish and build new agency collaborations and partnerships as appropriate.
11. Support programs when needed with programmatic fundraising.
12. Collaborate with agency stakeholders in implementing community initiatives to meet the needs of all communities served.
13. Work with Program Directors/Managers on program marketing and special initiatives.
14. Work collaboratively with Board of Directors on growing fundraising initiatives and donor relations.
15. Assist with managing donor/volunteer database and correspondence with donor/volunteers as needed.
16. Completes and reports on Focus on Excellence measures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of outreach and fundraising initiatives.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must be creative and flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
• Identify the diverse needs of the communities served working collaboratively with community partners to “fill in gaps”.

• Attend state and community level events that focus on the issues important to the agency and potentially impact services.
• Maintains professional leadership role for clients, families, team and community.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None. (This will change dependent on agency needs and potential growth)

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred). In lieu of degree, minimum of three years of experience in fundraising, special event coordination, marketing or nonprofit.
Experience Requirements
Experience in marketing/public relations, fundraising, event coordination, nonprofit, a plus. Strong communication and writing skills. Must be confident conducting community and state-level presentations.

• Superb organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfort working with event budgets and creating profitable fundraising events.
• Confident working independently on tasks to achieve job responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A team player with a positive attitude.
• Strong computer skills with website communication, social media and database systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other productivity software.
• English/Spanish bi-lingual a plus.

• An automobile at his/her disposal; a valid, non-suspended NM driver’s license and a current automobile liability policy and continuous coverage.
